My husband just started a new job. We will most likely move in the next couple years to make his commute shorter. This thought gives me anxiety because even though a new house is exciting we have SO! MUCH! STUFF! Can you relate?
To tackle this before we plan to show the house, pack up, and move, I'm going to use the next few months to a year to organize and declutter. I'd like to update weekly about this ongoing task. Should I pick a day of the week to do this on? I'm having trouble coming up with a clever day with a cute reason or alliteration (for Scentsy, I do Warmer Wednesdays and Fragrance Fridays). This is a prime example of why I am less action and more planning. I waste so much time procrastinating because of little details like this. So you can suggest a day of the week with a clever reason, rhyme, or alliteration for me in the comments section!
To begin, I made a list of small, manageable places that I can organize and declutter semi-quickly in each room. I'll try to do one small area a week, but hopefully I can get to 2 or 3 weekly. I'd like to be really brave and do before and after pictures like Swistle. I'll need your help and suggestions when I'm stuck on what to do with a particular area, etc.
So tell me, what are your favorite organizational websites or blogs? I like Declutter to Happiness and this article from Parentables.
