Hersheypark Christmas Candylane

Hersheypark Candylane was E's first visit to Hersheypark!  We took her on the eve of her fourth birthday. We had our favorite babysitter come to watch D so we could spend individual time with our birthday girl! She loves Hershey's Chocolate World so when people asked her if she'd been to Hersheypark, she assumed that was the entirety of it and said yes.  Little did she know the fun and surprises that awaited her!

The weather was unseasonably warm as we picked up our tickets at the front gate.  E was measured at the candy brand measurement station and deemed a Hershey Kiss.  As the park attendant put a wristband on her, she said, "I'm getting a bracelet!"  At this rate, our easy to please kiddo was going to be excited at every twist and turn of the evening.  The park is transformed for Christmas with billions of lights and the best decorations! E, Cowie, and I rode the carrousel first as Mr. SPS unsuccessfully scouted around for a Hershey character for E to meet.

E rode several kiddie rides independently before we rode the Tilt-a-Whirl as a family.  It was a blast to watch the delight on E's face close up as we spun around and around together!  We let E pick a treat and she chose blue "totton tandy!"  The attention to detail at the park is astounding as they even rename some shops in a holiday related fashion!

We spent the next several hours trying more rides.  On our way out, we found Frosty!  The line to see him was minimal so E snuggled right up for a picture with him!  Brrrrr!

I love how E is grinning in every single picture because it truly reflects how elated she was the whole night! Since she has a December birthday, my husband and I get her a Christmas tree ornament every year.  She chose one in a gift shop on the way out with the Hershey characters that she loves!  The ornament will always remind us of her first of many trips to Hersheypark.

We definitely have a new birthday tradition for E!  Next year I'd love to check out Hershey Sweet Lights, too!  A huge thank you to Hersheypark for making our little girl's fourth birthday super special!

Through a partnership with Central PA Bloggers, we received complimentary Hersheypark Candylane tickets in exchange for writing about our experience.  As always, our words and enthusiasm are our own!
