We began our homeschool preschool unit on polar animals with a KWL chart to pin down what our daughter knew and wanted to know about polar bears and penguins. We added to it and edited it appropriately as we learned new things about polar animals. I used her knowledge, questions, and misconceptions to direct our lessons.  You can certainly gear your children's learning to their own KWL chart!

If you'd like to follow along with our lesson plans, you will need:

  1. I love the KWL chart! That way what you're working on is what she's interested in. Awesome! :)
