Our kids love redecorating our window Christmas tree over and over again! We used window markers and one simple method to allow the ornaments to be drawn on and erased so they can draw again.

We love and defend our Elf on the Shelf fiercely but even if you don't have an elf your children will love this Christmas craft. Last year we pre-planned a whole month of Elf on the Shelf ideas. Our goal this year was to have our elf Dodee bring creative and educational invitations to play and learn all December long!
This night our elf drew a Christmas tree with window markers on the outside of our window! He decorated the inside window with pretty ornaments for his tree and of course left the markers for the kids to try in the morning.
Our preschool jumped right into this art invitation! She drew her own ornaments while strengthening her shoulder, arm, hand, and wrist by drawing on a vertical surface. Once she was done we could clean the inside of the window. Since the tree is on the outside it remains on the glass to decorate again and again!
