Go on a Photo Safari at Home

By Devany LeDrew | Labels:
I love photography! My passion for this hobby began when I met my husband. He would gather with friends to go on photo safaris to practice their picture taking prowess. While I've found that I don't often have the time to do this as a busy mom, I have the perfect solution for taking more photos and improving my photography from the comfort of home, no babysitter required!

Improve your photography without leaving the house!

Before we were married, my husband worked at a photography store. He had hours to learn about the very best camera equipment so now we own a Canon 5D Mark III with prime, macro, and telephoto lenses and this flash. Obviously this camera and it's accessories have been very convenient for taking photos for this blog!

Yet I have a confession to make. I hardly ever shoot in manual mode. I barely understand the camera's settings. I use the camera because it's available to me. I snap pictures of the kids' activities and to chronicle our day to day activities but I know that there is so much more I could be doing to improve my photography. No matter what DSLR you own, you need time and a patient teacher to learn all your camera has to offer. And while I love Mr. SPS dearly it has just never worked out for him to teach me about photography in a way that makes sense to me. I need a teacher who speaks my language and a commitment to practicing what I'm learning as I go.

I've finally taken the next step to improve my photos and I'd love it if you join me! I'm signed up to take Beryl Young's Momtographie photography class. This six week course is taught completely online, so again, as a busy mom I can work at my own pace and practice what we're learning at home during my own photo safaris! This class is perfect for beginners like me who are stuck in auto mode and more skilled photographers who are ready to take their photos to the next level.

If you aren't sure, you can take Beryl's FREE week long sneak peek called One Ingredient Fix! This mini dose of what Beryl has to teach us will be beneficial whether you decide to continue with the whole course or not (but I know you'll want to learn more)! This sneak peek begins on August 17th so sign up now! I'll virtually sit beside you as we receive PDF lessons, watch videos, and receive daily email tips to learn together!

Let me know in the comments that you've signed up so I can follow your progress and show you mine!
