What's your child's favorite nursery rhyme? We love Hey Diddle Diddle so we created an interactive fine motor craft. As your child turns the paper plates to have the cow jump over the moon you can work on teaching prepositional position words, too!

How do kids learn to read? At what point and how do letter sounds, rhyming, decoding, and concepts of print all come together to support an early reader? As a teacher and now a homeschooling mom, these skills have always fascinated me so I'm thrilled to be sharing a educational series that will take a closer look at all concepts that fall under the category of early literacy!

If you need a quick and easy Christmas activity for kids, this works for one or two children or a whole classroom of students as a center! We worked on fine motor skills and math as we created and continued our holiday stamping patterns.

One of the absolute best parts of living in the neighborhood where we live is having neighbors with kids around the same age as ours. Some days this means lots of outdoor play together and other days it means we can borrow an amazing tool to create process art. The kids experimented with markers and airbrushing.

There are so many ways that kids can learn and play with feathers! Whether you choose colored craft feathers or natural ones, the invitation to create and explore is so inspiring with these light and delicate objects. These are great ideas for Thanksgiving too!

Our kids love small world play! We set out an invitation for them to create their own buildings since we've been learning to identify places in our community. This creative project also showed just how much they've noticed about our neighborhood!
