Potty Books for Kids

By Devany | Labels:
Here in the Still Playing School household we appreciate potty humor. We have acquired quite the collection of children's books about the potty, poop, farts, and other gross things!

Our parenting philosophy is to be honest about all subjects in a developmentally appropriate way. We answer the questions that our kids ask. No topic is off the table or inappropriate.

Here are the best potty books in our collection. They are accurate, informative, interesting, and yes, funny.

Where's the Poop? by Julie Markes
This lift the flap book stars different baby animals and their parents. The babies have done their business somewhere on the page and your kids have to find the poop!

Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi
The differences in the animal kingdom are vast and that includes how we poop! This book outlines the details of our unique habits but reminds us that we are still similar in that everyone does poop.

Once Upon a Potty (Boy Version) by Alona Frankel
The very best potty training book available in my opinion, Once Upon a Potty is honest, comical, and very detailed in its illustrations! We also love the DVD version which we watched on repeat when E was learning to use the bathroom. Warning: The song is catchy!

Farts are hilarious but why do they happen? This book explains the ins and outs of the gas we pass.

So there you have our very favorite books about all the amazing things your butt can do! Did we miss a book that your kids love? We look forward to adding on to our collection!
