Halloween Memory Game

If you need a quick and easy game for kids for a classroom or Halloween party make your own homemade Halloween Memory Game! This activity is simple yet there is so much learning happening behind these photos.

I made our toddler E this Halloween themed memory game using clip art and black construction paper.  It is teaching her to take turns and patience when she can't peek. Of course, she still needs some reminders!

She gets very excited when she gets a match!  She's just as happy when one of us does, too!  "You won, Momma!" She is learning good sportsmanship.

Of course we added in literacy learning! When one of us would make a match we would have to name the picture and the letter that starts the word.

"Apple. A!  G-g-ghost!  G!" More advanced learners could practice identifying multiple sounds in a word by writing a list labeling the Halloween pictures when they make a match.

I used clip art I had from my teaching days. You could draw your own pictures for any holiday or season!
