Capture Your Grief 2013 - Identity
Her name is Violet Marie. We named her the weekend between her anatomy scan and her amnio and diagnosis. E was playing with an alphabet app that said, "V, violet," and Mr. SPS and I agreed on her name right then.
I am so glad that her name is a color and a flower. While it wasn't our intention, I can now find her little hellos more often in our every day lives this way. I find her at the end of every rainbow.
She was born on November 2, 2011 weighing 4 lbs. 10 oz. and measuring19 inches long. Tall like her sister, she never fit into the preemie pajamas we brought for her. On a whim as we headed to the hospital to have her, I had grabbed a hand-me-down pair of newborn pajamas that had belonged to E. She fit into those instead. I imagined a life time of hand-me-downs, but I am thrilled that she wore one.
She is our middle child, our daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, a niece, and a cousin.
