Gross Motor Color Mixing for Kids

We mixed up a batch of rainbow water to explore blending colors with our bodies! This beautiful invitation was great exercise and a fabulous way for the kids to cool off on a hot day.

We used the leftover water from our fine motor color mixing experiment. We used liquid watercolor paints to dye our water these vibrant colors. We put down a white vinyl shower curtain and the fun began!

The kids dumped, poured, jumped, stomped, and poked at the water. The colors swirled and pooled mixing and changing through our gross motor exploration. I wish you could hear the squeals of delight during this rainbow water play invitation!
