I cut corresponding strips of colored cellophane to set on the light table as the runway! Immediately our toddler was matching the plane colors without me even saying a word!

We found these colored airplanes at the dollar store. I always pick up anything I see that is colorful and transparent for our light table activities! You can certainly do this color matching idea off of the light table too!

Since he naturally wanted to match colors we talked about them as we called planes for take off and landing, Our preschooler joined in as well!
