Toilet Paper Roll Leprechaun | Still Playing School

Toilet Paper Roll Leprechaun

We love creating holiday crafts with recycled paper rolls! Last week we had friends over for dinner so we were in the mood for St. Patrick's Day crafting.  The kids made paper towel roll leprechauns that are perfect for small world play or even to decorate for the holiday.

We painted the bottom half and the top quarter of a cut paper towel roll green. I marked off where to paint with pencil but our three-year-old E still painted the entire roll. The middle portion was painted a skin color for the leprechaun's face.

When the paint dried we added eyes, a nose, a ring of green craft foam for a hat brim, and a pipe cleaner beard.  I poked two holes on either side of the face to insert the beard ends.
