If you are considering a light table this holiday season you can read why we highly recommend the Prism Light Center by ALEX Toys. Once you invest in a light table that will grow with your kids, toys and materials for light table play are inexpensive and so versatile. Here we picked up Halloween gel window clings at our grocery store for a festive fine motor invitation to explore!

The sticky sensation of gel window clings are a fun tactile experience. The light from the light table shines beautifully through the different colors of the decorations. Putting the clings on the table, pulling them off, and re-positioning them requires plenty of fine motor practice.

Our preschool was full of conversation as she made up stories to go along with her Halloween scenes! She loved placing the eyes from the jack-o-lanterns in the skulls' eye sockets to make silly faces.

She set up a night sky with clouds and a bat which inspired more questions about our nocturnal animal science unit

Even if you don't have a light table, seasonal gel window clings are a fantastic fine motor exercise on windows and mirrors!
