Virtual Zoology Class for Homeschool Kids

By Devany | Labels:
One of my favorite virtual homeschool classes to teach is Zoology! I've always loved to learn about animals and so have my own kids. This weekly science course covers so much fascinating content!

I created this Zoology class for homeschooled kids in 2020 when my oldest was in 5th grade. She had some peers who were being homeschooled suddenly and unexpectedly and this class was to support lots of parents during a difficult time with my expertise - teaching!

I'll be offering the weekly classes again for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The content is appropriate for students ages 8 and up but I have occasionally made exceptions for younger learners. Please contact me to discuss!

Class times are 3 pm eastern on Wednesdays or 10 am eastern on Thursdays. When you email me to register, please let me know which of these class times your child plans to attend most of the time. You are able to switch week to week if there are scheduling conflicts. I do not record my classes to protect the privacy of the students.

There are three tiers of participation. You can register your child for the entire school year for the greatest discount. All 33 weeks will be only $280 which works out to $8.48 a class. (I try to price my classes comparable to Outschool.) The deadline to register for the full year is Sunday, Sept. 1.

Another option is by season  which works out to $9.09 per class.

Fall - $100 for 11 weeks (Sept. through Nov.)
The deadline for fall is Sept. 1.

Winter - $100 for 11 weeks (Dec. through Feb.)
The deadline for winter is Nov. 27.

Spring - $100 for 11 weeks (March through May)
The deadline for spring is Feb. 26.

Finally, you can register per class or for the remainder of the season (if you've missed the deadline) for $10 each.
This is perfect for grades 3 and up but I am open to accepting younger students if you reach out to me. In the past I have taught this to grades 4 through 8 but it can be easily adapted for all learners.
