Valentine's Day Play Date

My very brave and creative momma friend, Megan, hosted a Valentine's Day play date for us!  We met about 6 years ago when working together in an early childhood education center.  Now we are both stay-at-home moms who get together regularly so our toddlers can play and create together while we recharge.

About once a month lately, we've been planning themed play dates with sensory experiences, art, and themed snacks and lunches.  We also have another toddler friend and his Nannie (who worked at a pre-school!) join us.  Collaborating we've come up with some activities that are so fun I often want to dive in with the kids!

This month Megan planned a sensory bin with pink, red, and purple pudding, red jello with marshmallows, and valentine sprinkles to top it all off!

We also used toilet paper rolls to make heart stamps for some art exploration.  I found this idea on Pinterest.

Don't you just love this shot of the boys working together?  Cooperation!  Sharing!  Art!

E's heart stamp masterpiece!
