Weaving Board for Kids

Our weaving board was super simple to make! We got the supplies at our local dollar store. It's fun fine motor work for kids that's the perfect travel or quiet time activity!

When I saw this white plastic strainer at our dollar store in the kitchen section I had to buy it. I wasn't quite sure what we'd do with it at the time but I knew plenty of activities would come to mind later. Paired up with fun ribbons and yarn it became a weaving board to work on fine motor skills!

I plan to change out the materials for weaving with the seasons and holidays! You can leave this introduction to sewing activity board in the car, in a quiet time area, or just around the house for your child to work on through out the day. Our daughter liked to work on it beside me, occasionally asking me for help or to take turns with her. When her hands are busy I notice that we talk quite a bit, too, about the most important things. She was so proud of her completed work!
